Is it ok to use cheaper ink cartridges in my Epson printer?

It is a photo-quality printer with one black cartridge and three color cartridges.|||Of course. Just make sure they%26#039;re compatible with your originals.|||Yes, and do it then they might get the idea we wont be screwed any more.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck.|||the ink could clog your print heads, epson ink os very specific, I tried some, it mesed up my print heads, and would up getting a new printer. the ink is not the same consistancy|||Yes, however make sure you go with a company that is going to guarantee the performance of the cartridge. That is a guarantee on the quality and of course compatibility.

You may also want to run more regular print head cleanings and more diligent maintenance on the printer. There is a definite saving in third party inks however they are not Epson ink so extra care needs to be taken to ensure you maintain print quality.|||it%26#039;s ok but sometimes when u got unlucky it might be worst on colors|||Assuming you aren%26#039;t asking about the moral implications, the important factors are harm to the machine, or quality of the cheaper product. I%26#039;ve heard of no stories of the harm thing, but was told by an office max person that the refill ink would void the warranty. Assuming they really can tell you used the product, if you are still under warranty that would be a consideration. Beyond that it comes down to quality. I%26#039;ve not heard any bad stories about that, but you should make sure the quality lives up to your particular needs.

Obviously my answer is based on hearsay, I print little enough that the new cartridges aren%26#039;t a burden.

I have a lot of luck using Google to check a product for pitfalls; use keywords of the product name plus %26quot;problems%26quot;, %26quot;rip-off%26quot;, %26quot;warranty%26quot;, basically what you are hoping to not find.|||itll SCREW YOUR PRINTER......

but if your lucky enough... it will saves you great...|||It should be ok. Epson claims that it will not be good for the printer however mostly they just can%26#039;t provide support for it if the cheaper ink does hurt it.|||absolutely, i do it all the time. if your are in the US try http://www.123inkjets.com i believe that they offer free shipping in addition to great prices.|||Compatible ink cartridges are the way to go, and will save you money. I would recommend Inktec compatible cartridges, which are made in Korea and are of better quality than chinese brand comptible cartridges.
