Is there a high quality printer that has very cheap ink cartridge costs (without refilling)?

I want to know if there is a printer that can satisfy these criteria:

Less than 200 dollars

Color ink cartridges are separated

Cost for all 3 color cartridges is less than 17 dollars [compatable non-oem cartridges are allowed] (without refilling)

Page per minute color is greater than 8

Page per minute black is greater than 12

Print quality is looks decent

It looks like Cannon might have a printer series with low-cost inks... There should be no reason why an ink cartridge should cost 45 dollars (cough hp cough) --

Does anyone have any ideas?|||Hands down HP Laser Jet printers are the best! We own and only use HP Laserjet printers and have 4 at home. First one HP Laserjet 4M my coworker convinced me to buy more than 10 years ago costs me $1500 but we still use it regularly and it has outlasted several desktop PCs. We also bought a HP Lasejet 5N and someone actually gave me a multifunction HP Laserjet 3330 but truly the nicest one I bought used/recertified from an authorized HP repair source is our HP Color Laserjet 4550. The color quality is absolutely fabulous and if you print on expensive HP brochure or HP matte paper, it is stunning in the hands of the recipient!

FYI the good news about these older HP laser jets and even our HP Color Laserjets is that the quantity of genuine HP toner is so plentiful on EBAY that with patience I can buy toner for like $25 to $30 per brand new box, with exception of the multifunction HP Laserjet 3330 only bec it uses the consumer HP toner 15A or 15X.

By the way before we go shopping for a commercial HP Color Laserjet 4550, please note it weighs like 90 lbs or more and I had to pay freight bec it came shipped on a pallet. Also FYI it uses four separate toners: Magneta, Cyan, Yellow and Black. Also I doubt if you could achieve the same savings on toner if you were to buy the small business home color laserjets bec their toner has demand and therefore higher unit prices but at least you don%26#039;t sacrifice or worry about inkjet quality or recurring purchases that quickly add up and get more expensive in the long run...

Hope the Above Info Helps!|||i%26#039;ve discovered that the more you spend on the printer, the cheaper the ink cartridges will be.

i have an HP all in one printer that was 300+ dollars, but i got it with a computer i bought. cartridges only cost like 12 bucks each, and it is the best quality printer/scanner i%26#039;ve owned.|||Actually, your cost for the ink per page is highest for any kind of ink jet printer. Your best %26quot;bang for the buck%26quot; is to get a laser printer. Yeah, it costs more initially but you%26#039;ll get many more pages per cartridge. If you do a lot of volume printing, it%26#039;s MUCH better to get a laserjet.

From TigerDirect you can get an HP 1600 printer ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/鈥?/a> ) for about $230. HP claims you%26#039;ll get 2500 black pages and 2000 color pages from the cartridges. The cartridges from TigerDirect cost about $70 each. That makes for about 16 cents per page or so (4500 pages / 280 for four cartridges -- black, cyan, magenta, yellow)

Their lowest price 4-cartridge HP inkjet runs $150 ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/鈥?/a> ). The cartridges cost $60 for a set of 4, and HP claims that when set to normal use the cartridge life is 600 pages. That makes 20 cents per page or so (1200 pages / 60 for four cartridges -- same colors as the laser)
