What printers easily bought (including all in ones) use cheap (without print heads) separate ink cartridges?

I am in the market for a new printer, but don%26#039;t want a printer that has $30 ink cartridges. I want an all in one that uses cheap generically available cartridges. I saw the mp760 uses cartridges available generically for about $2.80 each, but that printer is not available anymore. For my and other people%26#039;s benefit, how about a list of all currently available printers that use cheap ink cartridges, usually meaning that the ink cartridges are separate (5 tanks) and don%26#039;t have built in print heads.|||HP Photosmart C5280 scored a 82 out of 100 in PC World review. It uses common 74 and 75 cartridges which are 14 and 17 dollars respectively for the OEM%26#039;s. Refill kits are super cheap for these model inks.

Look at the HP Officejet Pro L7000 series. It starts at $300 i think. The black cartridge does about 2350 pages for 35 dollars (Brand new) and each color (three of them) does about 1210 pages for 25 bucks (Brand new). You are able to replace the print heads if they die.

Canon%26#039;s Pixma MP and MX line also have the individual tanks, however, the printheads are harder to come by. But they do a great quality job.|||Try ebay or google a computer fair near you. They are great but set a budget and stick to it - I usually end up paying at least twice what I meant to - and now I have tons of stuff I dont use! Epson are good as you can change whatever colour is going down - but also think about investing in a continuous ink system.|||There are GOOD low cost options for professional quality printing in Black %26amp; white and the Best Advice unless you like spending good money buying expensive inkjet cartridges, if I were in your shoes I would simply look for an older Hewlett Packard (HP) Laserjet Printer like one from the HP Laserjet 4 or 5 series, HP 2100 or 2200 series etc. and NO LASERJET PRINTERs are Not Bad for Your Health? As you know the print quality for any papers or documents you have to submit is TERRIFIC and all the drivers are still readily availble on-line for download.

Like someone else suggest I actually saw some GOOD WORKHORSE HP LASERJET 4 printers on sale for $12.00 on CRAIGLIST which caught me by surprise me...since I personally own like 4 Hewlett Packard black %26amp; white HP Laserjets that I paid from a free-gift away, $35, $65 and like $1,500 %26lt;= years ago brand new.

Naturally I don%26#039;t need any more but where I saw it was on my local CRAIGSLIST under the FOR SALE category then COMPUTERS. What happened was Seller bought a huge lot of commercial HP Laserjet printers on few pallets and simply did not have storage.

Just be PATIENT if you didn%26#039;t see any under a wildcard search or maybe POST YOUR OWN CL Inquiry in 2 places under WANTED and COMPUTERS but most likely all you will attract is people dumping inkjet printers.

EBAY COMPUTERs might be another Good Buy to find a good laserjet printer, but do yourself a favor and SEARCH BY CLOSEST DISTANCE bec S%26amp;H will certainly be costly. Also genuine unopened HP toner lasts forever and never dries up, and with patience can be bought for like $25 or more and one toner cartridge can easily last a full year.

Hope the Above Info Helps!
